I Suck at Crafts (Pinterest Poser/Try It Tuesday Challenge)

Pumpkin city.
It's time again for Try It Tuesday.  In an attempt at not being a Pinterest Poser, every week I  detail a new Pinterest challenge whether it be a new recipe or a craft.  Or maybe it's not even on Pinterest, maybe it's just something totally new that I'm trying for the first time.

The first Try It Tuesday went really well.
Here's what I'm tackling this week--Pretty Pinterested pumpkins from Better Homes and Gardens.  So pretty right?

On this Try It Tuesday, well, um, I discovered what I already knew...I suck at crafts.  My Pinterested pumpkins look like a f**#ing kindergartner got a paint brush and tried really hard to paint some stupid numbers.

I'm definitely not a Pinterest poser.  I'm a Pinterest loser.

Whomp, whomp.  Whatever.
There's always tomorrow next Tuesday.

Don't let my epic pumpkin failure stop you from taking the Pinterest Poser/Try It Tuesday challenge.  Paint that pumpkin.  Display that gourd.  Tell me about it in the comments and/or leave a link to a project you started or your Pinterest page.

Here's some behind the scenes video of my pumpkin painting adventure, er misadventure.  It's my latest vlog for MomPulse:

Oh yeah, and follow my Pinterest boards too.

And in case you missed it, here is a very hysterical piece about Fall decor from McSweeneys.net.  Beware, if you don't like the word F@*k (especially if you either don't like or can't handle the uncleaned up, non-symboled version).  But if you can handle it, f#&*ing enjoy it.

Happy Fall.

  1. I think your pumpkins look great! I did a version of this pin this week: http://pinterest.com/pin/39969515414131172/ I tried to jazz it up a bit which can always be a disaster. It's hanging on the front door right now. Can't wait to see what you try next week :-)

  2. I'm with Karen - crafts are a big part of my job, and I think yours look awesome! Embrace imperfection. It's your friend and mine too. :)

    1. Oh Jen, thank you!!! You and Karen have inspired me to actually display my pumpkins on the porch. I'm not only going to embrace my imperfection, I'm going to show it off. :)
